Teaching beginner through advanced scrapbookers the essential scrapbook theories & principles of design.

At SDU, you will learn all the fundamentals and techniques of scrapbooking in an easy and fun way, no matter what your creative level. SDU gives you all the tools to create your own scrapbook album with confidence. At each class you will receive the course materials to be organised in the SDU binder. This book will become your complete guide to scrapbooking with all the tools and project ideas needed to carry out any scrapbook page imaginable.

Scrapbook Design & You® is eligible only to KC Premier stores by certified SDU® instructors. These instructors have participated in an intense 2-day training program at Kidston Craft to compliment their already established expertise as paper craft teachers. They are ready to educate you on all the design theories, elements, and great tips and tricks so that you can create scrapbook pages with effortless ease!

Class 1 - Scrapbook Basics

What is scrapbooking? Why should I scrapbook? How do I get started? This inspirational class answers all your questions on the hobby of scrapbooking.

Class 2 - Tools of the Trade

Which tools are the most important? How are these tools used? The proper use and benefits of craft tools are discussed and demonstrated in depth.

Class 3 - Journaling

Pictures do not tell a thousand words! Don't miss this important class about the profound impact of adding words to a scrapbook page.

Class 4 - Colour

Colour is the richest resource when designing pages. Learning about colour's relationship to scrapbooking will empower you to use colour in new and exciting ways.

Class 5 - Layout Design

Learn the principles of design structure to give you the tools to create dynamic layouts every time. Discover how photos, journaling, enhancements, lettering, and colour work together to create great pages.

Class 6 - Matting

Understand how to frame or enhance a photo with our clever matting techniques. In this class you will create up to 7 projects for your binder.

Class 7 - Stickers

Become comfortable with various lettering techniques. This class includes plenty of practice space for letter doodling, which will reveal your own creative style. Have fun practising with different pen tips.

Class 8 - Lettering

Learn the nuances of sticker art - from cutting and trimming to layering or adding dimension. You will learn exciting new sticker techniques and create over 10 sticker projects in this class.

Class 9 - Titles

Learn how titles can communicate the mood of your page and enhance the impact. Create spectacular titles for amazing page presentations. This class features up to 6 title examples.

Class 10 - Punches

Use punches in ways you never imagined and learn how to make unique page features. Create over a half dozen punch scenes, punched borders and other punch shapes in this class.
